ShareCapy is a consent-first desktop application and web service that lets supporters direct value generated by eligible idle-bandwidth activity to a selected Twitch creator. This policy explains how ShareCapy processes information through the desktop app, website, creator dashboard, OBS widget, waitlist, and related support services.

Some features are delivered by independent providers—including Mellowtel, Twitch, and Stripe—which process information under their own notices and terms.

Depending on how you use ShareCapy, we process:

• Waitlist details: email address, optional Twitch handle, viewer or streamer role, and campaign, referral, and page-attribution parameters.
• Device and attribution records: a local install identifier and authentication token, selected creator, creator-selection history, Mellowtel node identifier, and total, daily, and incremental request counts.
• Device-readiness baselines: CPU core count, total memory, network-interface label, latency, jitter, measured download/upload rates, and probe results.
• Optional Twitch information: Twitch user ID, handle, display name, avatar, and email when you authorize the relevant OAuth permission.
• Creator and accounting information: creator profile, public links, widget preferences, contributor impact, ledger events, estimated earnings, payout profile, and payout records.
• Operational information: timestamps, request metadata, error and security events, and IP-derived information normally processed by hosting and security providers.

Custom Game Guard executable paths stay in local device preferences. Game Guard does not collect window titles, inject into games, or upload your custom game paths to ShareCapy.

We use information to provide creator selection and attribution, show supporter impact, maintain the live and durable ledger, operate creator profiles and widgets, process payout requests, measure device readiness, respond to support, and keep the service reliable and secure.

Where GDPR-style legal bases apply, processing is based on performance of the service you request, your explicit consent for bandwidth sharing, our legitimate interests in security, reliability, accounting integrity and fraud prevention, and compliance with legal obligations such as financial recordkeeping. You may withdraw bandwidth-sharing consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

ShareCapy starts opted out. Bandwidth sharing begins only after an explicit Mellowtel consent flow, and you can pause or opt out at any time through ShareCapy or Mellowtel’s controls.

Mellowtel independently provides public-web retrieval using isolated, sessionless environments. ShareCapy does not control all aspects of Mellowtel’s independent processing. Review the Mellowtel Privacy Policy and Mellowtel Terms for details.

We disclose information only as needed to operate ShareCapy, complete transactions, meet legal obligations, or protect users and the service. Current providers include:

• Mellowtel for consented public-web bandwidth workloads and node/request measurement.
• Twitch for channel discovery and optional creator/supporter OAuth identity.
• Supabase for database and durable ledger storage.
• Railway and Redis for API hosting, live state, and operational infrastructure.
• Stripe Connect for creator onboarding, identity/KYC checks, and payout processing.
• Lovable for website hosting and related delivery services.

These providers may process information under their own privacy notices where they act independently. We do not sell personal information and do not use it for behavioral advertising.

We keep information only while reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including maintaining your account or creator attribution, resolving disputes, preventing abuse, and meeting legal obligations. Retention depends on the record’s purpose and sensitivity rather than one universal period.

Selection, metering, correction, payout, tax, and audit records may be retained where necessary to preserve accounting integrity or comply with law. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it where reasonably practicable.

You can pause sharing, opt out, change the creator you support, disconnect optional integrations, or stop using ShareCapy. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a portable copy of personal information, withdraw consent, and appeal or complain to a data-protection authority.

California residents may also request information about collection and disclosure, correction, or deletion, and exercise applicable rights without discrimination. ShareCapy does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed for the nature of the information we process, including scoped credentials, access controls, ledger idempotency, and encrypted network transport. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Providers may process information outside your country. Where required, transfers rely on recognized safeguards such as adequacy decisions, contractual protections, or other lawful mechanisms.

ShareCapy’s beta is intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly offer the service to children or knowingly collect their personal information.

We may update this policy as the product, providers, or law changes. We will post the revised date and provide additional notice when a material change requires it.
